Come and hang out, make some new friends and check out the new digs at Studio M. Bring your business cards because you never know who you might meet, as there are new women coming to the LSpot everytime. Word has it, the LSpot is "where the women are". Cost is $10 at the door with a portion of the proceeds going to Operation Safe House.
In business for nearly 20 years and with shelters in Riverside and Thousand Palms, Operation SafeHouse is well equipped to handle runaway, homeless and other youth in crisis.

1st Wednesdays Art Walk in Palm Springs RECOGNIZED AS THE COOLEST, HIPPEST ART DISTRICT IN THE DESERT, BACKSTREET ART DISTRICT in south Palm Springs has monthly art openings, showing new and exciting original contemporary & modern art. The work will reflect both established and emerging nationally & internationally known artists from around the country. Most venues serve refreshments & snacks. Weekly Cancer Networking Group Gilda's Club is now offereing three cancer support groups: one for cancer patients, one for caregivers, and a children's group. All three groups meet every Thursday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Gilda's Club will be the only agency in the Coachella Valley offering services in the evening for working families and individuals who are dealing with cancer. For more info: 760-770-5678 |

Old Lesbians Organizing for Change (OLOC) Coachella Valley Chapter formed in May 2008 - We are a national network of old lesbians over age 60 working to confront ageism in our communities and our country. We use education and public discourse as our primary tools. Our national organization is directed by a Steering Committee that works to form and support local groups who will work in their own communities. 100 Women Local Women Unite to Raise Money and Awareness About Women and Children with HIV/AID The Desert AIDS Project has successfully launched a new major donor program, 100 Women, to support its development of community and medical services for woman and children living with HIV/AIDS.
