Melissa Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge's new single, Fearless Love, a bold and soaring declaration for living - and loving - to the fullest, has struck a momentous chord as it soars inside the Top 30 this week on the Hot AC chart, and rises to #10 on the Triple A chart. The new album expands on the multiple strengths that have made Etheridge one of the most beloved figures in rock. It follows The Awakening, her revealing album of 2007, with a rousing tone at once tough and tender, as only she can be. It is that force of presence which has earned her, among other accolades, the 2007 Academy Award for Best Original Song and two Grammy Awards

2010 Autumn Equinox Ritual

A Goddess Ritual to Celebrate each Woman's Internal and External Harvest An introduction to the Dianic Tradition for the Autumn Equinox celebration, offered by matriarchal women in teachings that date back before Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism or the other patriarchal religions were formed. This participatory ritual will celebrate the Harvest within ourselves, to honor the menopausal woman and Wise Women [who have completed menopause], and ritualize the beginning of the journey into the season of the Crone. At the Autumn Equinox we honor half light / half dark of the season, the balance in our lives, and preparing for rest.

This event will be followed by an OLOC Meeting, Swimming party and Potluck from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. (Bring pool toys, volleyball nets and balls, sunscreen, and towels. Or just lounge with us in the Community Room or by the pool. Indoor air conditioned potluck.)

Call: Sharon Siegel at 310-455-3232 to R.S.V.P. for the Autumn Equinox Ritual only.
